The AS group of projects aims to advance and apply robotic platforms into faster, cheaper, and safer inspection, preservation, and maintenance of bridges with unique robot-bridge interactive capabilities.
The IM group of projects aims to transform big data into mission-critical information through machine learning and/or statistical analysis for bridge element inspection and maintenance as well as strategy development for the detected elements in deficiency.
The RR group of projects aims to model and assess the vulnerability and risk of bridges with identified defects at system and network levels and then mitigate deficiency in bridge elements to improve overall bridge resilience in the wake of natural disasters.
The SN group of projects aims to integrate sensing and nondestructive testing functions into the robotic platforms for accurate and reliable condition assessment and resilience analysis at bridge system and network levels.
The WD group of projects aims to develop apps, tools, and models that facilitate the training and incubation of workforce ready to adopt and implement the advanced technologies for next-generation inspection, preserveration, and maintenance of bridges.
